Sandbox Birthday!

Delivered this special birthday present today! It's special because this sandbox is the 2nd project commissioned by @jmccorrea and it's always special when you make an impression and get repeat business. Shes become a friend!

This sandbox was a rendition of @anawhitediy plans. I used western red cedar to ensure up keep in the colorado elements and stained it with @sikkens to protect it even further. Not a difficult build, but definitely not a quick build. I wanted this thing to scream luxury so I sanded all surfaces and chamfered the edges to help prevent splinters. I feel like it also gives it a finished and "tended to" look.

It was fun to deliver it on his birthday and watch him and his friend, my daughter Audrey, pretend to dig around and play. Cant wait to see it filled with sand!!
